DATURA: - Datura is a shaggy plant growing upto one metre in height. It has large egg shaped leaves, very large white flowers and egg shaped fruits, covered with prickles. The dried leaves, seeds of the plant and top portion of the flower constitute the drug. |

It is Narcotic, Anti spasmodic, Ache reliever and Anodyne. Helps in relieving the spasm of the Bronchitis in Asthma. It is used in treatment of Parkinsonism and Haemorrhoids.Young fruits are intoxicating and sedative.Leaves applied after roasting are useful in relieving pain.
